Romania address format & examples
How to write a Romanian address
Dracula may skip over you since you’ve decided to learn about how to address a letter to Romania. From his tower in Transylvania, he’ll be able to see that you’re trying your best to mail him (and clients and family members) a bottle of Țuică to say “salut” (hello). Take a look at our Romanian address examples here and try our suite of address validation tools for addresses in Romania below. Just enter an address, and we'll format, standardize, and validate it faster than you can say “Bucharest.”
Now, let's get into the basics of the Romania address format. The Romanian format for shipping or mailing addresses should be written as follows:
- Addressee line - The recipient's full name, using appropriate titles for the region.
- Street name and building number - The street name, followed by the building number goes on this line. No separating punctuation is needed between the two.
- City - Next, the city goes on a separate line all alone.
- Country - Write “ROU” in all caps on the last line.
