Now, let's get into the basics of letter address formatting in France. The French address format for shipping or mailing addresses should be written as follows:
- Addressee line - The recipient's full name
- Delivery point information (if needed) - Hallway identifiers or specified staircases for complexes are useful here.
- Street name - The street address in the format of the building number followed by the street name and hamlet (if applicable)
- Address Line 2 (if needed) - Additional address information, such as a unit number, apartment number, floor, etc. would go here.
- Postal code and city - Include the five-digit postal code followed by the city name without punctuation marks.
- Country - FRA, in all caps.
