Lithuania address format & examples

How to write a Lithuanian address

As the baroque capital of the world, Lithuania is THE place to go to see winding cobblestone streets, carefully curated gardens, and some of the most beautiful churches in the world. Today, we'll teach you how to address a letter to Lithuania so you can start making Lithuanian pen pals immediately. To help you, we've collected some Lithuanian address examples for you to look at, as well as tools to help validate any address in the world.

Smarty is the best source for professional-grade location data. Simply enter any Lithuanian address, and you get it back formatted, standardized, and validated faster than you can say "Kuršių nerija." Address formatting in Lithuania can be written out as follows:

  1. Addressee line - The recipient's full name, using appropriate titles.
  2. Street and building number - List both components in this order, street then building, without any separating punctuation.
  3. Neighborhood or area - The neighborhood the address is in.
  4. Postal code and city - The postal code and city city go on their own line without any separating punctuation.
  5. County - The larger area that the address is in.
  6. Country - This is often shortened to LTU.

What our customers are saying

A woman in blue activewear seated and posing, and a man in a light green shirt and yellow shorts jumping beside her, both in a peach-colored room.
We evaluated quite a few providers, and felt that Smarty was the right partner for us, given their user-friendly approach and robust support. It checked all of our boxes.
