Just enter an address, and we'll format, standardize, and validate the address faster than you can say, “proost.”

Let’s explore some of the generalities of address formatting in the Netherlands. The Dutch address format for shipping or mailing addresses should be written as follows:

  1. Addressee line - The recipient's full name, using appropriate titles like "Dhr." (Mr.) or "Mevr" (Mrs./Ms.).
  2. Street name and house or building number - The street address including the street name followed by the building number. They should be included in that order.
  3. POSTAL CODE and LOCALITY NAME - Include the postcode, then in all caps and following a space, write the alphabetical portion of the postcode. After another 2 spaces, include the locality name, again in all capital letters.
  4. Country - Write "NLD" in all caps on the last line.

What our customers are saying

A woman in blue activewear seated and posing, and a man in a light green shirt and yellow shorts jumping beside her, both in a peach-colored room.
We evaluated quite a few providers, and felt that Smarty was the right partner for us, given their user-friendly approach and robust support. It checked all of our boxes.
