Let’s explore some of the generalities of address formatting in the Netherlands. The Dutch address format for shipping or mailing addresses should be written as follows:
- Addressee line - The recipient's full name, using appropriate titles like "Dhr." (Mr.) or "Mevr" (Mrs./Ms.).
- Street name and house or building number - The street address including the street name followed by the building number. They should be included in that order.
- POSTAL CODE and LOCALITY NAME - Include the postcode, then in all caps and following a space, write the alphabetical portion of the postcode. After another 2 spaces, include the locality name, again in all capital letters.
- Country - Write "NLD" in all caps on the last line.
