How to write a Hungarian address
Hungary is home to some of the world's most beautiful and famous towns and cities. You've heard of Budapest, you've seen the 19th-century church in Debrecen, and you'd love to wander the streets of Sopron to feel like you're in the movies. The natural next step on your Hungary journey is to write a letter to your "szerető" (lover). But how to address a letter to Hungary? We've got you covered. You can look to Hungarian address examples for guidance on your journey.
Simply enter an address to format, standardize, and validate it faster than you can say “Elnézést.” Address formatting in Hungary isn't rocket science, and can be written out as follows:
- Addressee line - The recipient's full name, using appropriate titles for the region.
- City or town - List the city or town on its own line.
- Street and building number - You can list the street and building number without any punctuation between them. Just a cute lil' space.
- Postal code - The four-digit postal code goes on its own line.
- Country - This is often shortened to HUN
