We're happy to announce a recent partnership with Cytora, an insurance technology firm. Below, you will find the announcement they published:

London, UK; January 21: Cytora, the leading digital risk processing platform, today announced a partnership with Smarty, a cutting-edge provider of property data solutions, to transform property risk evaluation for insurers.

Juan de Castro, COO at Cytora, said: “This partnership represents a significant step forward in enriching our data ecosystem. By integrating Smarty’s unparalleled property data, we’re enabling insurers to make faster, more informed decisions with access to high-quality insights directly within our platform. It’s an exciting development that underscores our dedication to innovation and delivering industry-leading capabilities for risk evaluation and underwriting excellence."

The collaboration embeds Smarty’s robust US Property Data, with over 350 attributes, including geospatial accuracy, building footprint details, and address verification, into Cytora’s platform. Underwriters using Cytora can access precise property insights and streamline their risk evaluation processes. These capabilities will enable underwriters to assess risks more quickly and effectively, identify potential exposures, and mitigate them proactively.

Berkley Charlton, VP of Product Management at Smarty, said: “We are excited to collaborate with Cytora to redefine property data utilization for insurers. Combining our best-in-class property data with Cytora’s innovative platform certifies insurers have the tools to make smarter, faster decisions and adapt to the evolving risk landscape. Together, we’re setting a new benchmark for property risk analysis.”

Smarty’s hyper-accurate property data offers details such as exact location coordinates (geocoding), property dimensions, construction data, and financial insights. Insurers can leverage US Rooftop Geocoding to pinpoint the coordinates of structures and deftly assess hazards, ensuring precise underwriting decisions when integrated with SmartyKey®, a persistent unique identifier. This assists underwriters in accurately relating third-party risk data to a specific property regardless of address changes.

This partnership reflects Cytora’s commitment to building the most comprehensive data ecosystem for insurers, enhancing the industry’s ability to leverage real-time, accurate information in risk processing. It follows a period of significant growth for Cytora, including adding a major collaboration with Chubb and the expansion of a partnership with Arch to North America.

How I reduced my returned mail from 27% to 1% using address autocomplete

The following is based on a true story. Some of the names and relationships have been changed to protect the anonymity of individuals and companies. However, the numbers are 100% accurate. In 2023, I wanted to mail some really fancy cards to 165 businesses. I collected their addresses by asking for them or finding them in their online listing and collected them all in a neat little row. Then, I went a step further and ran these addresses through Smarty's bulk address validation tool. Everything was set and perfect.
